Search Engine Optimization Basics

  1. Set up for Google Webmaster Tools to keep track of and find new keywords that the site ranks high for, and that direct traffic to the site.
    1. Verification
    2. XML Sitemap Submission
    3. Keyword Tracking
    4. Addressing Crawl Errors and Issues
  2. Set up the pages of the website for Google Analytics, to keep track of how much traffic comes into the site and determine from where the traffic mostly comes from.
  3. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
    1. Keyword Research

How the customer keep track of the progress:

  1. At the onset of SEO, you will be notified of the status of your keywords. Any progress on the ranking positions of these keywords on Google will be reported at the end of each month.
  2. Details on monthly traffic will be reported.
  3. We will send directory/site submission confirmation emails from the sites we’ve submitted directly to a shared email account. Sharing the email account is for the purpose that our staff will be able to verify the submissions, as some directories and sites require email verification by clicking on a link that they provide on the email they send.
  4. We will send the list of all sites we’ve submitted to on a regular basis.

Google Adwords

Google Adwords rewards good ad performance with better ad placement and better pricing. The higher the click-through-rate, the less you will have to pay to be at the number 1 position. So to decrease your Adwords costs and make Adwords work more efficiently for you, it would be a good idea to optimize the descriptions and titles to make them more compelling.

Next, for the Adwords campaign, we need to have better landing pages to increase the chance of turning each visitor into a customer. I wouldn’t recommend using the Flash main page as it is right now, since it takes time for the animations to load and the information is not readily available. The visitors have to wait for the animation to finish before they can start navigating the site.

Market Research

Focused Keyword Research, and Reevaluating:

Which keywords are getting the most traffic.

What are the top bid prices for those keywords.

Which keywords are being ignored and why.

Researching additional potential keywords.

Optimizing Adwords Campaigns and Building Compelling Ads

Optimizing titles to better attract clicks

Optimizing descriptions to better attract clicks.

Optimizing types of phrase matches to use

Optimizing on geographic locations.

Monitoring Traffic

Sign up for Google Analytics. It’s a powerful and free tool that can keep track of the traffic coming into your site. It’s very useful. Should you experience any problem and not see any result in the report, try www.SiteScanGA.com, it will help verify if there are any possible issues with the code given by Google.

Keyword Research

There are a couple of keyword suggestion tools out there. I wouldn't suggest paying for them, just use the free ones. Google's keyword research tool is by far the best, as it tracks the amount of traffic for the particular keywords and generates similar keywords, all for free.
